Black salve from TWO FEATHERS is a Native American Indian formula over one hundred years old that has been used successfully for cancer, tumors, herpes, diabetes, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, allergies, viral diseases, yeast and fungal infections, parasites, Lupus, moles, liver detox, vaginitis, worms and skin cancer. Those who handle the compound, including myself, feel blessed to be a part of an age-old rite that is indeed very special. Still produced in the original Native American manner, each herb is cured in smoke ovens and mixed in wooden bowls. Metal is never allowed to touch the formula as it would destabilize the electrolysis process provided by the components in the compound.

On April 13th, 2005, the FDA San Francisco District Director sent a letter to the distributor of a Native American herbal remedy commonly known as ‘Two Feathers Healing Formula’ to basically cease and desist. The reasons given were that based on the claims made on the internet and by testimonials of person who had used the formula to successfully treat a range of illnesses, including cancer, the Healing Formula is classified as a "drug", and a "new drug" at that because there is no evidence that it is generally recognized as safe and effective for its claimed uses. Under FDA regulations a "new drug may not be introduced or delivered for introduction into interstate commerce unless an FDA approved new drug application is in effect for it.” Not only that, but the letter states that the Healing Formula is “misbranded because its labeling fails to bear adequate directions for the uses for which it is being offered”.

The warning goes on to state that failure to comply “may result in regulatory action without further notice. Possible actions include seizure, injunction, and/or prosecution.” It demands that a reply be written within fifteen days to inform the FDA of “the steps that you have taken to correct the above violations and to prevent their recurrence” and, in addition, should “also include the name and address of the manufacturer and … the name of your supplier in addition to the manufacturing firm.”

It is good to know that the Feds are looking after our wellbeing. When I spoke with Robert Roy, the aforementioned distributor of Two Feathers Healing Formula, on the phone a few months ago, he was of a different opinion. “You’d think they’d be writing me to find out why so many people are being helped and what they can do to support that…”, he said without a trace of cynicism in his voice.

Here is a part of a testimonial that got Roy into trouble which was posted on the internet about one such person who was helped: “In early 2000 my husband was diagnosed with cancer throughout his body and bones, his chances of survival were very slim. The cancer specialist wanted him to undergo Chemo and Radiation, but we declined and decided to try natural healing ... My husband applied your Healing Formula to a tumor on his chest that was visible and also took the formula orally. The first of many tumors started to be drawn out of the opening along with a foul smelling liquid, this process continued for many months in which a total of eight tumors came out of that opening. My husband is now cancer free…”

Talk about a healing crisis. Admittedly, while nothing is as compelling as a testimonial of a miraculous cure, they don’t necessarily give a full picture as to the overall efficacy of a given therapy. What percentage of patients responded positively? Was there a relapse at some later point? Are there certain types of pathology that respond well while others don’t? Were there other adjunctive therapies that the patient was also doing along with it?

But despite these reservations, that is a remarkable story and it is not unique. Others too have had similar experiences of toxic discharge and/or tumors expelled from the body. When applied topically and/or taken internally, the Healing Formula stimulates the body to detoxify in the most direct way. It literally throws out tumors from the surface of the body or discharges toxic material via some convenient outlet. For instance, a woman with a tumor wrapped around her optic nerve wrote that after beginning the Healing Formula she developed a boil that drained for 10 days followed by 8 weeks of discharge from her sinuses.

In the spirit of full disclosure, at this point in time my direct experience with the Healing Formula is quite limited. But I had heard reports about it, looked into it and have decided to share this information. The one person I know who took the Formula (not based on my advice nor under my guidance), in fact did have a similar experience. Unfortunately, it did not lead to a cure.

Suffering from metastatic breast cancer, the site of a previous surgery opened up and she developed a strong discharge. At first the discharge was brownish and foul, then it became more like regular blood. After it stopped, there was a hiatus of a few days after which it re-emerged.

What was disconcerting was that the patient was becoming extremely weak and anemic. When I met with her, it was with the purpose of fortifying her to be able to withstand the process. There was no direct follow-up with the patient, though I heard from a relative that she eventually ceased the therapy, ending up in hospice care after testing revealed extensive bone metastases.

What I have taken from this is that the Two Feathers Healing Formula is indeed an extremely powerful therapy, but one needs both emotional and physical fortitude to carry it through to a successful conclusion.

Robert Roy, the distributor of the Two Feathers Ancient Healing Formula, describes it as an “American Indian formula that eliminates degenerative diseases of modern civilization (pollution of food, air and water)…” We have seen in the first part this article that it has a powerful detoxification effect on the body, effectively expelling malignancies and other impurities.

Roy describes himself as something of a seeker who over three decades traveled to about thirty countries to gain insight into their traditional systems of wisdom, philosophy, and healing systems. It was after his return to the United States that he first learned of the Healing Formula from a Native American elder who told him that it has been treated as a type of sacred knowledge by his family and held as a closely guarded secret to be passed down from one generation to the next by the family elders.

The elder related that the Formula had been used not only for malignancies and tumors, but also for skin lesion and infections, food poisoning, liver problems, colds and flus, removal of wart and moles, chronic systemic yeast overgrowth, chronic fatigue syndrome and other virally induced diseases, and auto-immune illness such as lupus.

When taken internally, the Formula is drawn to the area of the body that is unhealthy. When used topically, it draws toxins to the surface. It can also be used as an enema to cleanse and tonify the intestines, as well as a douche to treat gynecological problems.

The tradition of secrecy was maintained to protect it from falling into the hands of ‘profiteers’ whose motives would neither honor the integrity of its purpose nor fully understand the complex method by which it is made. In the absence of either of these aspects, its guardians believe the healing capacity of the Formula would be greatly diminished.

But Roy was able to develop a relationship with the family that allowed for him to become an intermediary through which they could interface with the outside world. They could provide the Formula to those who needed it while, at the same time, maintain their privacy as well as the purity of both their intentions and the product itself.

Roy has written that when described from a more conventional scientific point of view, the Formula has a number of properties which overall serve to restore the healthy balance or homeostasis of all body tissues and fluids. More specifically, this means enhancing the enzymatic activities of the body, oxygenating cells, increasing oxygen supply to the brain, stimulating the immune system, normalizing electrical activity of the tissues and cells, normalizing blood chemistry, promoting proper absorption of nutrients as well as promoting proper elimination via the skin, urinary tract and bowels. It acts as a strong anti-oxidant, as a diuretic to eliminate the build-up of excess fluid in various parts of the body, and as an anti-fungal agent. All of this is in addition to its capacity to decrease or expel malignancies and to normalize the process of cell differentiation.

It is understandable that all these claims about the Healing Formula may appear to be exaggerated or even fanciful, that only the most gullible would believe that herbs would have such incredible healing properties. But, as stated earlier, though I have little direct experience with it, others who have used it do report remarkable cures.

Whatever one is to make of the Two Feathers, it is certain that medicinal plants contain within them astounding powers to heal disease. Just recently I have come across the work of a late 19th century British homeopathic physician named Robert Cooper who was a truly original thinker and a remarkable healer. Although he is generally considered to be a homeopath and did use low potencies of homeopathic remedies, he had a special genius for using plant remedies often in tincture form to effect stunning cures of cancer and other serious pathologies.

In his book “Cancer And Cancer Symptoms”, Cooper gives numerous case histories of patients with various forms of cancer that were cured by very small doses of specially prepared single herbs he termed “Arborivital Medicines”.

The term “Arborivital” was Cooper’s own terminology. He explains, “I have termed the system proposed by me for the better investigation of the curative action of plant remedies, Arborivital, from the fact that this curative action is an inherent property of living plants, a truth which has hitherto been entirely unacknowledged by medical scientists.” Elsewhere, he writes, “My contention, in a word, is this, that in the living plants we get a force which, if applied in accordance with the laws of Life to disease, will arrest its progress, and even cause its dispersal….To this force I gave the name arborivital, and the action that results therefrom Arborivital Action.”

There are a number of facets of Cooper’s work that make it quite distinctive, including the methodology by which he made his remedies, the minimal doses that he prescribed, the patience he had – and demanded of his patients – in allowing his treatment to work, and finally, the detoxification reaction these remedies elicited.

These cures bear a similarity to those reported by people using the Two Feathers Formula in that the reports also testify that almost inevitably a toxic substance in the form of noxious liquids, blood or the like will be excreted from the body. Following this discharge, the malignancy or tumor begins to disappears.
